Internal Technical Sales Engineer – UK Based

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum + Excellent company benefits


We are seeking a UK-based Technical Sales Engineer to work closely with the UK Business Development Director and globally distributed engineering teams to proactively develop solutions to a wide variety of customer requirements within the Mining Industry.



Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of Quotations

  • Liaise with sub-suppliers and request quotations

  • Define solutions to customer requirements

  • Researching solutions and making recommendations

  • Following up on new leads

  • Liaising with customers to understand requirements

  • Compile proposals

  • Marketing activities / attending conferences and exhibitions

  • Creating content for marketing activities

  • Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders

  • Maintain company CRM databases

  • Be capable of operating efficiently across multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proactively develop contacts

  • Self motivated and self sustaining



Qualifications / Experience

  • Engineering background in either Mechanical,  Electrical or Electrical Controls System background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering discipline

  • Ability to read Technical Drawings

  • Technical sales experience within a complex system integration environment (Desirable)

  • Intermediate (minimum) to advanced (desirable) skills in MS Excel

  • Preference given to those with AutoCad / Inventor skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • A second European language an advantage - (German language skills a bonus)



Salary: Dependent on experience.
