Junior Field Service Engineer - CNC
Ideally based in the Midlands Area

This profile corresponds to an individual that has solid academic background on mechatronics, technology, electrics that preferably has completed an apprenticeship in the industrial sector. It completes with a short experience (1-2 years) working on different industrial sectors, preferably Robotics and/or CNC automation.
Availability to travel extensively, also outside UK, for training.

Key Areas of Responsibility
The Junior Field Service Engineer (JFSE) is responsible for trouble shooting and attending electrical and mechanical breakdowns. Able to demonstrate excellent customer facing skills whilst remaining calm and resolving any challenges on site in an amicable manner in line with company policy. Advising the help desk on any breakdown issues. Able to communicate and liaise with the business in the support of all its products. The individual must be focused on delivering and driving solutions through ownership. The JFSE must also be available to attend site throughout the country at short notice providing solutions for our customers and the business. The FSE must be able to understand and demonstrate the functionality of CNC equipment.
- Providing technical and sales support to the business

Main Tasks:
- Understand and demonstrate knowledge of engineering activities including:
Service work
Preventative maintenance
Installation and commissioning of capital equipment (Preferably CNC machines)
Breakdown electrical
Breakdown mechanical
Training
- Supporting customers and the helpdesk on technical and customer issues
- Understanding mechanical drawings
- Understanding electrical drawings
- Problem solve and troubleshoot in the event of difficulties arriving from an intervention
- Site surveys
- Customer training CAD/CAM
- PLC and CNC knowledge
- Attend training courses
- Ensure work is carried out to the highest standard within the allowed timeframe and actively reduce any remedial work
- Advising on installation planning through historical knowledge
- Technical advice and troubleshooting for customers and the business
- Taking ownership for the work carried out on site with flexibility in accordance with our customers’ needs
- Prepare and submit paperwork including, timesheets and expenses
- Provide information in a timely manner
